Scroll Randomly

Overview

The 'Scroll randomly' action is used to navigate webpages in a non-linear manner, offering a different browsing experience by jumping to random positions on the web page.


Performing the Scroll Randomly Action

You can perform the scroll randomly action using the down arrow key on the keyboard.



Example scenario

  1. Accessing the Application: Ensure that you have access to the application.
  2. Enter your email, password and click Login button.
  3. Click algoQA button
  4. Scrolling randomly: Add the 'scroll count values' parameter in  Project Explorer UI element value to scroll down randomly to view content changing in the Project Explorer pane.


Execution Report


The execution report for the preceding scenario will detail the steps taken to navigate to the SIM Cards section in the online shopping site, including the scroll down action.


Adding a Parameter

While adding nodes in the node configuration process, you can add parameters. 

If you have already created the project, navigate to the Projects and select the appropriate project. Click on the required node and it will navigate to Text Design, you can view associated feature and the UI element. In this window, you can add the parameters and click Save.  


Tip: 
While scraping ensure to provide the locator of the scrollable container. You can update the locator by pressing L icon.
