2. Summary Description of Project Settings Page
1. Overview
The Project Settings page allows you to configure and manage settings for your project, including Project Information, Backup & Restore, and Feature File Settings.
The Project Settings icon is available in the Main Canvas. Click this button to access the Project Settings Page.
2. Summary Description of Project Settings Page
The following table provides a summary of Project Settings fields:
Field | Description |
Displays the Project name entered during Project creation is displayed. By default, this textbox is not available. | |
Displays Automation type entered during creation of the project. By default, this textbox is not available. | |
Displays the Application URL. You can modify the existing URL to access specific content, but the main website address cannot be changed. For example, if you attempt to change the website URL from www.shopperstop.com to www.amazon.in, then you will see the following error message: |
The following table provides a summary of Backup and Restore Settings Fields:
Field | Description |
You can schedule an auto backup for your project by selecting the appropriate option from the dropdown. However, if the project is assigned to you, these fields will not be available. | |
You can set to restore points to manage the number of backups a project can have. The default value for new projects is 4, which can be adjusted between 4 and 31. Use the plus icon to increase and the minus icon to decrease restore points. For more information on Backup and Restore, see Backup and Restore Features. |
The following table provides a summary of Feature File Settings Fields:
Field | Description |
Requirement Filter | Choose this option to generate a separate Feature file. For more information, see Generating separate Feature File in separate folder. |
Remove Default Tags | Choose this option to Remove Default Tags from the generated Feature file and if you choose to add custom tags. Following screenshot represents the original Feature File without this option being checked: Following screenshot represents the Feature File with the option being checked: |
Modify Feature Files | Choose this option to modify Feature Files |
Data Decoupling | Choose this option to generate separate YAML file in the Test cases Folder. To access TestData.Yml file, navigate to the Main Canvas, in the Project Explorer > expand the appropriate Configuration folder to view the YAML file, as shown: |
Hide Feature | Choose this option to hide all the features created in a scenario so that it will not reflect in the generated Feature File. |
Hide Control | Choose this option to hide all the Controls or UI elements created in a scenario so that it will not reflect in the generated Feature File. |
Pre-condition Name | You can enter a Given condition Name in this text box |
Pre-condition Action | You can enter an appropriate action for the Given condition |
Selective TestCaseGen | This functionality to generate test cases with setup file names to identify specific folder, especially in scenarios where multiple users are working on the same project concurrently. For more information, see Generate Test Cases with Setup File Names for Folder Identification. |
Home Page | You can enter a Home Page name |
