Enhancements- algoScraper extension updates
You can capture and record your interactions as a scenario within an application or website in real-time using algoScraper extension. This feature generates test cases based on the actions you perform. For more information, see Recording a Scenario Using Record Action Feature. To access Record action navigate to algoScraper Extension from status bar > In algoScraper pop-up window, click More > recordaction. This feature supports Chrome, Safari, Microsoft edge and Firefox.
Minimize button and JS Query have been introduced in algoScraper extension for web applications. For more information, see algoScraper as an extension for web applications.
Pinglink capability improvements, the UI has been enhanced for better look and feel, the response time and load time has been enhanced by reducing the time to load. For more information, see Website Performance Monitoring using PingLink.
- Edit Scenario feature Improvements
You can now generate feature name inside feature file. In Edit Scenario Feature, the file name can be entered in separate feature text box in scenario form section. For more information, see Generating Separate Feature Files with different names.
To access edit scenario feature, navigate to main canvas and click More >Edit Scenario > Edit Icon in a scenario > Scenario Form > Separate Feature Text Box.
Restore Points Improvements
In the Restore Settings section, you can set the Restore points for restoring the backed up files. Restore points indicate the maximum number of backups a project can have in the restore section. For new projects, the default value is 4, but it can be adjusted between 3 and 7. For more information, see Backup and Restore Features.
- Action List Improvements
The Action list has been updated on the UI for Web, Mobile and Desktop automations. For more information, see Accessing Default Actions in algoQA. To access Action List feature, navigate to main canvas and click More >Action List and choose Support Automation Type and Support Framework Type from the drop down to see actions according to the options selected. - API Improvements
In the API automation, while generating test cases for negative test data, in the script generation screen, click edit to view Data Generation tab. In this Data Generation tab, select the Yes option to view the parameters listed. Attributes available are URL, Params, Authorization, Header and Body. By default, all the options are selected. You can choose the options as required. Note that negative test cases are generated only for URL, Header and Body attributes.
While generating separate test data using Data Decoupling option in the API settings page.
The System generated Feature File displays request name instead of API attribute names providing meaningful names. For more information, see Options for Generating Test Data in a Separate YAML File.
