1. Overview

If you are unable to scrape the XPaths (locators) of the UI elements using conventional methods, you can use the screenshot functionality in algoScraper to capture the UI element’s screenshot, which provides the XPaths, and download the data in a zip file along with a CSV containing the corresponding XPath information.

2. Scraping the Application

Perform the following:

  1. Enter the required URL <into browser bar.
  2. Open the algoScraper window, select the screenShot option.
  3. Capture the required UI element screenshot and enter a name.
  4. Repeat the steps for all the UI elements.
  5. Click Download option after scraping the UI elements. Downloaded files contain the following:
    • Scraped images in the zip format
    • Scraped files in the CSV format. In this file, <image.png> serves as your XPath of the UI element or control.
  6.  You can download the files and save it on your Desktop.
