1. algoQA Platform Main Page Overview

Upon logging in successfully with your credential's, you will see the Main Page.

The Main Page contains: 

  • Project Explorer 
  • Main Canvas

2. Project Explorer

Project Explorer helps you to navigate and manage various elements of your project. It provides a structured view of project's folders and files. You can expand or collapse the folder to view the required files in the Configuration folder. The project folder structure shown here is an example based on the 'Validating Addition of Two Numbers' project.


Project Explorer includes:

2.1 Create a Project using Project button

  1. To create a new project, click the Project button or plus icon. Create Project page appears in the Main Canvas, as shown:
  2. In the Create Project window, enter the project name, select the automation type and click Create Project. Ensure that the project name must be at least 2 characters.
    Additionally, while coping the project and updating the Project Name in the Project Settings page, ensure that project name is at least 2 characters. 
  3. Alternatively, you can either browse for the scraped file in the CSV format or drag-and-drop it to view the automatic placement of nodes. Click the "Browse files or drag them here" button or the cloud icon to upload the scraped file.

2.2. Project Folder Structure 

Each file within this each folder is represented in a distinct color. Click the Plus icon to expand the folder.
The following table provides folder structure for a specific project and corresponding file details. 


Folder and Files Name
Description 
Contains scraped CSV file in downloadable format, along with Scraped files, Set Up configuration files and Type ID files in the JSON format.

Contains the configured nodes in JSON file format.
Contains generated Feature File in TXT format and a downloaded spreadsheet with GWT steps details in XLSX or XLS format.
Contains the scripts generated in the organized folder structure within a folder, available for download.


2.3 Filter Icon

You can filter the project by clicking the Filter icon. Filtering pop-up window displays:

Field Description
Set this field to specify the start date by clicking the Calendar icon. 
Set this field to specify the end date by clicking the Calendar icon.
Note that From and To date ranges must be specified to filter the project based on selected date range.
Select this option to sort the projects in either ascending or descending order.
Select the appropriate Business unit from the dropdown list.
Click this button to apply the changes.
Click this button to reset the changes.


3. Main Canvas

The Main Canvas displays algoQA features in the status bar, configured Nodes for the specific project and Data Generation sections:


Field Description

Configure Nodes using drag-and-drop feature to arrange the nodes in the Main canvas. Connect the nodes by clicking link-out point of one node to link-in point of another node. Node names must be unique and are case sensitive.
Alternatively, if you upload  scraped file, you will be able to view the node placements in the Main Canvas. 
Click this button to record a scenario after creating the offline model.
Click this button to generate test cases.
- Project Settings Icon Click this button to edit project settings, configure feature file settings, and manage backup and restore options.
Select the down arrow to view More sub options:
Hover over the info icons to view more information.


Click this button to execute the scripts and generate scripts in the organized folder structure. The scripts will be available for download in the structured format.
Select the appropriate value to set the business rules by clicking the down arrow to view the following window. Then, click 'Save' to generate negative test cases with the specified values.
