Enhancements
  • Introducing Product Tour 
    You can now explore a guided experience of the key features to enhance your user journey in the platform. For more information, login to algoshack.com. Make sure to open the URL in your browser's incognito mode.

  • Notifications Icon
    Notifications icon is introduced in the platform to notify users about centralized project updates and product enhancements.

  • Explore New Links on the Website
    Explore the new links: 'Downloads' to access installation files and corresponding documents for prerequisites, and 'Documentation' to access algoQA Knowledge Base. For more details, visit algoshack.net.

  • Profiler Improvements
    On the Main Canvas, you can now generate scripts after generating test cases. 

  • Subscription and Pricing Page Update
    The look and feel of the Subscription and Pricing page is changed to enhance the user experience. For more information, visit Pricing page.

  • Access and Use Unused UI elements.
    In profiling, any UI elements that were created but not used will be available in the Edit Object Repository file. These unused elements can be utilized when configuring custom actions.

  • Use of Pre-defined Template for a Dataset
    While editing scenarios, you can now download the file in the pre-defined template by enabling the dataset checkbox in the Edit Scenario Form.
    To access this checkbox, navigate to Edit Scenario from Main Menu > Edit Scenario Form > More Menu.

  • Cosmetic Changes in UI 
    The User Interface (UI) has been updated with cosmetic changes, such as font style, size, and width aimed at improving the look and feel of the UI.

  • Load Testing Report update
    The generated Load testing report now displays minimum and maximum response time values.

  • Enhanced Generated Feature File
    The generated Feature File has been enhanced to support multiple 'Given' steps. Additionally, you can now use custom actions within the 'Given' steps.

  • Code Editor Screen Update
    In the code editor screen, when uploading an AF setting file, the system now accepts files in both JSON and .config file formats.

  • Edit Scenario Improvements:
    In the Scenario Sequence section of the Edit Scenario Form, you can now have the capability to add or edit 'Given, When, Then' lines for individual steps. This functionality aligns with the structure found in the generated Feature File, providing you with an intuitive experience.
    Additionally, you can provide custom values into GWT Input textbox in the Project Settings page.

    To access Project Settings page > navigate to the Main Canvas > Gear icon.

    To access Scenario Sequence, navigate to the Main Canvas > select More Menu > Edit Scenario Form > Edit icon.

  • Improvements in Customize Framework functionality
    • Delete Folder option is available for Customize Framework functionality folders in the Script Generation screen.

      To access Delete Folder option navigate to the Script Generation screen > right-click on the More Menu > Customize Framework > right-click on the More Menu again.

    • Customize Framework functionality files supports PNG file format. You can upload PNG file format, expanding the range of compatible files.
  • Improved User Experience in the View Logs screen
    As a user, you can:
    • view activities from the Follow Me feature.
    • track and log activities related to scenario deletions.
    • cannot view the entire project path.
    • experience enhanced response time for handling both large and small data sets.
    • view Changes in Project Settings are now visible and reflected in Logs.
    • view Node Configuration actions.
    • view access Settings changes tracking are reflected.
    • view upload file activities are now visible and tracked.
    • view activities related to auto generate test cases.

To access View Logs, navigate to the appropriate configuration folder and right-click to select View Logs.

  • Improved Back Up and Restore options
    You can now auto back up on daily, weekly and monthly basis. 
    • Auto Back-up Scheduling
      To use this option, perform the following:
      1. Navigate to the Main Canvas > gear icon to access the Project Settings page.
      2. In the Project Settings page, go to the Auto Back Up option.
      3. Select the desired frequency (daily, weekly, or monthly) from the drop-down menu.

    • Manual Back-Up
      You still have an option to take manual back-ups whenever needed.
      To use this option:
      1. In the Project Explorer pane > navigate to the required configuration folder.
      2. Select More Menu > Back Up.
    • Restore the Backed-up data
      1. In the Project Explorer pane > navigate to the required configuration folder.
      2. Select More Menu > Restore.
      3. In the Restore pop-up window, check list option is changed to more user-friendly radio button option.

 

  • Copy option for node configuration folders
    Copy option is available for node configuration folders. You can use copy option to duplicate the entire project, rename it, and use it at a different destination.

    To use the copy option: 
    1. In the Project Explorer pane > navigate to the required configuration folder.
    2. Select More Menu > Copy.

  • Displaying stored variable values in API reports
    While generating reports using API automation, reports generated are enhanced to display stored variable values. This helps in the verification of the data.
